Real scale. Real easy.

Most scale helicopters take weeks to build and an expert to fly. This one is finished at our factory and flies with GPS assistance, so you can enjoy the look of a real full-size helicopter from the first battery.

🛰

Hovers by itself

Let go of the sticks and the u-blox M10 GPS with the Roban X2 flight controller holds its position, even in a light breeze.

🏠

Comes home on its own

Flip one switch and it flies back and lands. If the radio signal is lost, it returns automatically.

📦

Everything in the box

Pre-painted fiberglass body, mechanics, motors, 10-channel radio, battery and charger. It's ready to fly.

See it fly

Take-off, GPS hover, scale circuit, return-to-home: 3 minutes, real flight, no edits.

UH-1D Huey How-To (4m14s-10m31s)

From box to first hover in about 30 minutes

No building, no programming, no laptop needed.

Unbox

Fit the main blades (4 screws). Everything else is pre-assembled and test-flown at our factory.

Charge

Charge the 4S flight battery with the included balance charger.

GPS Lock

Switch on outdoors. The LED turns green when GPS is ready, usually within 1-2 minutes.

Fly

Arm, lift off and let go: it holds position. Flip the RTH switch and it comes home.

Why a Roban 470?

There are many GPS helicopters. Here's what makes this one different.

Flying legally in 3 steps

Like any model aircraft over 250 g, your helicopter needs a registered operator and insurance. It's quick, and we'll walk you through it.

1 · Register

Get your operator ID

Online with your national aviation authority (LBA in Germany, CAA in the UK, Austro Control in Austria).

2 · Insure

Model-flying liability insurance

Model-flying liability insurance is required in Germany and most of Europe. Easiest: join a model-flying club or association; membership includes insurance.

3 · Fly

Fly with your club

Fly at a club field under your association's rules, or after the free EU online test (A1/A3). The ID plate from your Pilot Pack goes on the model.

We're the factory, so if you ever bend a blade or crack a canopy, the part is here at a fair price.
