Unbox

Fit the main blades (4 screws). Everything else is pre-assembled and test-flown at our factory.

Charge

Charge the 4S flight battery with the included balance charger.

GPS Lock

Switch on outdoors. The LED turns green when GPS is ready, usually within 1-2 minutes.

Fly

Arm, lift off and let go: it holds position. Flip the RTH switch and it comes home.

Like any model aircraft over 250 g, your helicopter needs a registered operator and insurance. It's quick, and we'll walk you through it.

Get your operator ID

Online with your national aviation authority (LBA in Germany, CAA in the UK, Austro Control in Austria).

2 · Insure

Model-flying liability insurance

Model-flying liability insurance is required in Germany and most of Europe. Easiest: join a model-flying club or association; membership includes insurance.

3 · Fly

Fly with your club

Fly at a club field under your association's rules, or after the free EU online test (A1/A3). The ID plate from your Pilot Pack goes on the model.

Roban Model was founded in 2009 by Mike Binder, a German engineer. We design, mould, paint and assemble every helicopter in our own factory.
